October 8, 15 and 22; 10:15 – 11:15 am

Join Music Teacher Reynold N. Scott at the Carnegie Art Center, 240 Goundry Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Hands-on workshop focuses around a central theme of artistic exploration of musical instruments. These educational workshops are designed to develop the artistic abilities within people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities served by Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, while promoting community integration through the inclusion of participants and volunteers from the public at each session. Participants from the public are welcome to join in the music-making using “shakers” created by OUN program participants in prior classes.

Scott, a musician, recording artist, teacher and composer, is participating through collaboration with Young Audiences of Western New York. Program is funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; administered by Arts Services Initiative of Western New York.

Pre-registration required for this free class by contacting Marcia Ross at 434-4050 ext. 417 ormross@opportunitiesunlimited.org.
